Marketing

Summer in Delhi offers all kind of cool/cold drinks. Once of the stall I always pass by and never bother to look back are the pudina water (?) with nimbu stall. But, this at South Ex sure caught my attention. If I am to have a drink from any of such stall, I will surely have some from him. I really like the way he display it

The Manali Holiday

Gee...I can't believe that this is my first post this year...gosh, I had been so lazy. Well, this trip that I am to talked about also happened last month *GRIN*.

Besides its beauty, the things I notices about Manali are:

1. The air is very clear, fresh and clean. In short, still very unpolluted

2. All shops including the fruit vendor ensured that they use paper bag instead of poly bag ( This doesn't meant that I am an environmentalist..heh)

3. The people are very good. A very simple example: the auto rickshaw drivers are not there to cheat you. (We reached Delhi in the morning and the auto driver tried to take an extra night charge..whew). I guess the weather greatly affect the people.

4. Tea/Coffee are really really good

I am not going to say much but let the pictures do the talking:

As I've never seen a snow in real life, we got really excited with the first clear view of snow on the hills.

We reached Manali in the morning and this is where we enjoyed our tea and bread-omlette

The Yak ride...I mean photo session with yaks. :)

In a Manali traditional dress; it's really warm, and a photo session with the sheep

This is a cherry tree (quite different from Farmville Cherry tree *GRIN*

We were advised to take only a small thin sweater with us as summer has started. Well, we ended up wearing this big furry jacket and bought a new one for ourselves.

Snow water......seems to be very fresh but freezing cold

A Manali woman. I have noticed that the women worked really hard but this lady is all smile for the camera

That's all for now. Next will be an update about the skiing trip

Where I have been

I have been away from this blg world for a month. I have not bothered to update my own blog nor do I bother to read others'. I guess I have been lazy and yes, been busy at work. Well...I have been feeding the deers...hehe.

I have been taking a walk at Deer Park, Safdarjung, quite reqularly these days and feeding the deers was one of the fun part. Now, I saved all the wasted green vegetables so that I can feed them. Though the amount of food I bring to them is very less, but it's fun to see them eating heartily...and the crunching sound they made is jsut beautiful. I don't know how to explain this but I just love the sound.

I took this specially for my dear cousin, J, who, most probably concentrated on the meat too much, never see a peacock at the park :D

This park is quiet huge and so I once went to the other side that I never reached. Then I saw this place
On Friday the 13th, I saw a peacock in its full grace and I felt so fortunate. I always wanted to see them with my naken eyes and luck was on my side.

When I first saw it, its back was at my side then I waited patiently and quite nervous too, afraid that I would scare him and let the tails down. Then I hold my breath, waited when it finally turned slowly

Fearing that it would keep the tail down once I caught his attention, I took this

But he proved me wrong as he was standing there, and then turned very slowly.

I promised that I will set my phone cam in a good mode the next time I come across something so beautiful. I am not satisfied with this photoes either.

Christmas and New Year

Let me start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year...I hope it is a blessing year for all of us.

I am not going to add much words here but let the pictures do the talking..heh! The holiday was great as I was completely free from work. It weather here has now really really dipped down and is quite chilly.....but it is the right time to have a bornfire.

This is how I spend most of my holidays.....bornfire outside the house. It was fun and warm :)

This is the Christmas Tree. I know it's not the best tree in the world (:D) but I really love and enjoy decorating it. I did not do it alone, of course. And I removed the model here as I have not consulted him whether he allow his picture to be included or not...lol.

One of my sisters sent some money so that we can enjoy smoked meat. So, we went to INA Market and bought 3kgs of pork which we smoked outside our house. It was one of the best smoked-pork that I ever had. I am not sure whether my friends enjoyed it as much as I do but I know that none of them complain about it.

I took this on 31st Dec and so I simply added it.

New Year's Eve near Kamal. Whenever I came here, the place remined me of my dear dear friend, Kima and I am sure he has the explanation..hehe.

We went to pick up one of our friends at Kamal who joined us for the night. When we reached this place, it was full of life..or call it "very happenning". The stuffs in front of the man with green apron are fried chicken...the chest, the legs etc. So, whenever any one of the cooks finished his share, he simply pour it in front of him. Then the man with the green appron weigh it the weighing scale, commonly known as patla or padla. In between, he fried his share on the big pan on his right side. It was real fun to watch this activity.

Our rosted(?)/smoked(?) chicken on New Year's Eve. It was the first time I have ever tried it so it did not turn out great..hehe....I am sure I will do better next time :)

New Year at Mizoram House, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. I was behind the camera..these kids are funny.

New Year's Night at Mizoram House. Believe it or not, I was there and I had a good time.

Ok, I was here not because of my own will but because of my nephew and other friends who wanted to sing so badly. Therefore, I have no choice but to join them. However, I did not regret it. In fact, I was quite thankful that I was there. Praise the Lord.

After getting home...nothing special about it :)

A new dance routine???

What do men usually talked about when they sat or stand together? In thought that the disussion would always end up with hot girls, sex, bike, cars. But these 3 guys standing together on thebalcony proved me wrong. Though I never found out what they were doing but it looks like they are working on a new dance routine :P.

Step 1: Guy 1 point towards the sky while Guy 2 observed it carefully while Guy 3 looked away

Step2: Guy 2 now got the steps and joined Guy 1. I guess the step would be like..left arm up, right arm up..and so on..and Guy 3 is still lost so just laughed away (but secretly observing the routine)

Step 3: Guy 3 finally got the hang of the it and joined Guy 1 and 2

The routine is a bit too tough for me :D

A visit to Lotus Temple

After being in Delhi for a couple of years and running past this place so many times, I finally gathered enough strength to finally visit this place, The Lotus Temple.
